Whirlpool MAX microwave ovens
Whirlpool’s new MAX 35 and MAX 38 microwave ovens have a full-size 28cm turntable that accommodates a standard dinner plate, yet the rounded-back design allows them to slot neatly into the corner of the most compact kitchen worktops. Another space-saving convenience of these products is that the top surfaces support dishes removed from the oven cavity during cooking. The new MAX range comes to the market in September and is available in white, silver, black or stainless steel finishes.

GE Appliances has unveiled the first of its UK refrigeration launches since partnering with GDHA. Available now, the A-rated GCU23LGYF and GWU23LGYF side-by-side fridge freezers make versatile use of storage space with two slide-out freezer baskets, two sealed fresh-food pans and three slide-out tempered-glass shelves which take up to 12 fl oz of liquid spillage. The units also incorporate four Clear Look™ adjustable door bins and a large removable dairy compartment. Sales of the new products will be supported by GDHA’s UK-based after-sales and customer care team.

Hoover’s new Dynamic condenser dryer features the unique ‘Aquavision’ patented water tank which is built into the appliance door so users can see when it needs emptying. According to Hoover, Aquavision is easier to remove and transport than the previous reservoir drawer system. It has an easy-grip handle and is self-balancing. It is also eco-efficient, as the water collected is purified and free of limescale, so it can be used for other household tasks.

Amica Inari ‘open zone’ induction hob
The Inari open zone induction hob from Amica features a new control panel with ErgoTouch fingertip sensor controls and a Touch Slider sensor control for quick and smooth adjustment. The heating zones are not indicated on Inari’s surface – instead, at the centre of each area is a small triangle symbol. No working elements of the hob can be seen through the black glass surface. Place a pan anywhere on this surface and the hob will detect its presence. The appliance is claimed to the first to connect four heating zones of 210mm on a 60cm hob.
